The Ponkan is a tangerine variety known for its exceptionally sweet flavour, easy-to-peel skin, and vibrant orange colour. Native to China, it is one of the oldest and most widely cultivated citrus varieties in the world. The Ponkan is compact and highly productive, making it an excellent choice for both ornamental and practical purposes. Its fragrant blossoms and lush green foliage add beauty to any indoor space, while the fruit is perfect for snacking, juicing, or adding to desserts.

Lighting: Provide 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Place near a south-facing window, and rotate the plant occasionally for uniform growth.

Watering: Water when the top 3cm of soil dries out. Avoid soggy conditions to prevent root rot. Check soil moisture with our moisture meter for precision.

Potting Mix: Repot using a well-draining citrus potting mix, such as Fafard potting soil.

Temperature: Maintain a stable temperature of 18-30°C. Keep away from cold drafts or heat vents.

Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is best. Use a humidifier or a pebble tray with water to supplement.

Fertilization: Use a citrus-specific fertilizer every 4-6 weeks in spring and summer. Reduce frequency to every 8 weeks in fall and winter.
