Philodendron Florida Ghost 3.5"

Fresh foliage on this climbing Philodendron begins with a distinct white hue that gradually transitions to yellow before reaching its mature state of vibrant green. Named "Florida Ghost" for its ghost-like appearance of its leaves.

Lighting: Place in bright, indirect light, shielded from direct sunlight to prevent leaf damage. Insufficient lighting can cause new growth to start solid green.

Watering: Allow the top 3cm of soil to just dry out between waterings Overwatering can lead to root rot. Stick your finger into the soil to check its moisture level or use our moisture meter to take the guesswork out.

Potting mix: Use a well-draining potting mix like our Fafard potting soil when repotting. May benefit from an 85% soil 15% orchid bark mixture.

Temperature: Keep the environment consistently warm, within the range of 18-26°C and avoid sudden temperature changes.

Humidity: Provide high humidity if possible, using a humidifier or placing the plant on a tray filled with water and pebbles.

Fertilization: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. We recommend our Sultz 10-15-10 . Reduce or cease fertilization in fall and winter.

Repotting: They do not require frequent repotting. Repot when the roots are coming out of the top and drainage holes. Use a pot no more than 5 cm larger than the existing pot.
