The philodendron Adansonii Known for its unique leaves resembling holes of Swiss cheese. They can grow 60cm or more per year and will climb any trellis or moss pole surface provided. Prune regularly to promote growth at the base.
Lighting: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light conditions; avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
Watering: Allow the top inch to dry between waterings. Avoid over watering to prevent risk of root rot. Stick your finger into the soil to check its moisture level or use our moisture meter to take the guesswork out.
Potting mix: Use a well-draining potting mix like our Fafard potting soil when repotting
Temperature: Thrives in a warmer environment, within the range of 18-26°C. Avoid Drafts from windows, doors and air vents.
Humidity: Adaptable to various humidity levels; Use a humidifier to promote growth.
Fertilization: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. We recommend our Sultz 10-15-10 . Reduce to 8 weeks in fall and winter.
Repotting: As they are a fast-growing plant, Repotting is normally recommended every 1,2 years or when you see roots coming out of the drainage of the pot. Use a pot no more than 5 cm larger than the existing pot.
